All religions are beautiful at their heart and about kindness to others and love.

I almost ALWAYS do, but I find I can get out of it quite quickly now. For whatever reason, repeating things to myself helps keep me on track, and I like to use the same phrases or sayings. I think it might be that I find them comforting because they have helped me out before. When I start to blame myself for something I have done, I remind myself: "Even the Buddha tripped up on his way to englightenment," "I was meant to make this mistake so that I could learn something," "Every flaw is part of who you are," and "You are one and the same as all other living things - no better, no worse." But maybe my next blog entry should be about offering tips to help you forgive yourself!

Thanks for sharing and reading! :)Maritahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01454271893977164157noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8986940642633613811.post-18921381013327458022013-03-27T10:13:23.390-07:002013-03-27T10:13:23.390-07:00I am strong, I am beautiful. I am free, I am a conqueror, I am love.

This sounds a lot like the first week of my discipleship training back in 2011. So much of what you're saying here is based out of the Bible, because all of those beautiful things that we are is how we were created to be! So good. I really enjoyed reading this Marita, very well put.

There is such power in the spoken word, so reading them out loud is an awesome idea!

Just a question though- do you ever slip into the blame cycle on yourself when you don't always hit the mark? Is there any way to avoid that?

Much love, SamAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16663123070113078232noreply@blogger.com
